BIO

Born in Santa Monica, California as Tracy Wagner, I've lived in Los Angeles my whole life.

I started drawing seriously in high school, where I attended the Fairfax High School Art Magnet Program.

I was convinced that I should give up art and get a real job, so I spent five years as a medical transcriber.

I was accepted to California Institute of the Arts' Character Animation Program in 1993.  Many thanks to Leonard Robinson for the tutoring; I would never have made it in without his help with my art.

My freshman year was the year of the 1994 Northridge Earthquake.
Disney's The Lion King was also released and the animation business  boomed. I thought about leaving college to get a job 'while the getting was good', but my mentor convinced me to stay in college.

In 1996 I had to take a year off to work because I was broke.
Worked at Vortex Media Arts doing a bunch of stuff, both production and pitch work.

Came back to college and earned 32 units in a single semester.
Graduated in May of 1997.

I worked at Prolific Publishing for a year doing conceptual pitch art for games.

Spent 1999 doing freelance and just barely getting by.
I did some advertising and photography work for Stanley Mobile Homes.

Hired by Knowledge Adventure in 2000 to animate on their Jumpstart series of games.

I met fellow animator Brian Reynolds in 1997, and we were married in Yosemite on June 30th, 2001.

In December of 2003 Knowledge Adventure had a mass layoff of half their 3d animation department,
and their entire 2d animation department, including myself and my husband.
Currently we are doing freelance and training ourselves in Maya.

I continue to do personal art for friends and freelance clients in my spare time.
